How it works

How Mapalist Works

Mapalist turns a spreadsheet into an interactive, shareable map — no code required. Here's the path from your data to a live map.

1

Connect your data

Point the wizard at a Google Sheet. Your spreadsheet stays the single source of truth — Mapalist reads from it, it doesn't replace it.

2

Map your columns

Tell Mapalist which columns hold your addresses and which values you want to show on each pin. The wizard walks you through it.

3

We geocode and plot

Every row is geocoded — turned into a location — and placed on the map automatically, so you don't touch coordinates or code.

4

Choose how it looks

Drop individual pins, group records by a column value with distinct icons, cluster dense areas for readability, or render a heat map to reveal concentration. Style and weight pins to match the story you're telling.

5

Stays in sync

Update the underlying sheet and your map refreshes automatically — no re-importing, no manual edits.

6

Share or embed

Share your map with a link or embed it directly in your own site. From RSVP lists and store locators to membership directories and field data, the geography in your data becomes easy to see and easy to share.
